Are any archers going to Burning Man this year?
I'm wondering (hoping) if anyone is planning on setting up some targets for practice. If you are please let me know, I'm bringing my bow and arrows. I just need a (safe) target to shoot at.

I have never brought my equipment for a variety of reasons, but one of the main ones being I just don't see it being very feasible to find a space out there (in BRC) that would work as a range. Too much chance of people walking through/behind, even if they have read their tickets...
But you are welcome to stop by and talk shop, I'll be in Dreatime at 4 & Catharisis, look for the sign that says Ice Cream Social. -

If I had gone I would have thought about bringing my bow also.
I've been itching to play but havn't made the time. Perhaps this week.

Mon, October 3, 2005 - 9:24 PMMy attempts for archery on the playa were kind of a bust this year. I dragged a bunch of my gear up there, including a makeshift, moopless, target but as soon as I hit the playa I got completely distracted by everything else and lost the energy to go find a safe shooting area.
I'm a certified instructor too...maybe with some help and advanced planning, archery on the playa can happen next year. I did come across a bunch of people who would have liked to have a beginners lesson. -
