I actually kind of like it, when a tribe isn't super busy. I have a *lot* of them to keep up with.
I haven't done any shooting lately, either. Maybe this summer?

Re: have all the archers been shot?
Tue, June 6, 2006 - 2:41 AMAh ha! now we're seeing some action in this tribe! I guess it really was the weather that was keeping everybody from the range!
So as far as fletching goes, feathers or vanes and why ;o)
I love the traditional look of feathers but they don't last too long lol

Re: have all the archers been shot?
Sun, July 16, 2006 - 12:14 AMHi. I miss archery. Been cought up with other hobbies but speak often of the value of spending time on the range.
"why do you shoot archery" they ask.
I tell them it's because its fun and I get connected to spirit when my mind is silently focused on the moment I'm in. I love archery. It is wonderful meditation. That and I would like to be able to hunt animals at some point. That is a longer discusion but mainly for a deeper connection with nature.

Re: have all the archers been shot?
Sun, July 16, 2006 - 2:00 PMToo funny... I was just reading it at the book store last night.. im thinking i will just go back and buy it... what do you think of the book? -
-
Re: have all the archers been shot?
Tue, August 1, 2006 - 1:44 AMI can't remember what I thought of the book. I did read it though.
Oh archery. I miss it. I just havn't made time to get out to the range. I'm itching. I just had a friend ask me if she could come out to the range and "watch" me sometime. It made me feel a bit wierd. I don't really want to be on display so I told her that she could come if she perhaps participated. I just want to go out and shoot. Alone.
I shoot cause I can be alone and quiet. I've shot with non-archers before but I think the way she phrased the question threw me off a bit. Maybe I'm just being cranky. I am a little hungry.
I'll sleep on it. Any thoughts?
Oh and about the book. I'll say that the little I've read about Kyudo echoes in my mind everytime I think about shooting. I recommend reading the book and anything else that has to do with archery. -

Re: have all the archers been shot?
Tue, August 1, 2006 - 2:51 AMI would have felt the same if one of my friends had asked if they could watch me shoot. im still searching for my bow.. no luck so far...
Im love to spend time like this alone, its good for the mind and soul.
I have picked up the book and read bits of it at the store, and i might go back and read it a bit more before i end up purchasing it or not.
Perhaps your friend will wind up participating, and you can both enjoy few hours of Archery together....
have a great afternoon
